Did a simplified version in 2 formats:
Short:
Did a 16:9 version of Blue Bossa in 1080px
Also did a short that loops in 9:16 format
I now have 61 subscribers to my YouTube channel.
I did a short form version of Sunny yesterday for YouTube and decided to redo the video for a long form version. If you look closely you can see the loop. My inspiration is the Pat Martino version. Look it up!
Did a quick YouTube short today using the new camera, I prepped the chord diagrams last night in Finale software:
What are these chords , well first off they sound cool so that's the main thing.
Theory wise I was thinking of a 2 5 1 6 2 5 1 progression in C major.
I extended the progression to sort of include a G pedal note so you could view the chords differently hence the G13sus4 rather than Dm9/G.
The second chord is interesting as it can be seen as G7 (b5 #5) .
The last part is interesting as the top voice ascends with the chromatic notes A A# B
Putting on the composer hat though you say "who cares they sound good" the analysis comes after the composition not before.
Neo soul title clickbait? Well I have seen Robert Glasper live a few years ago and I like the Neo soul way of moving around the key changes!
Uses of this progression could be in Charlie Parkers tune Little Suede Shoes, I tend to play it in the key of C rather than Eb.
Selling quite a bit of sheet music but my 5 star version of Purple Haze for beginners is hidden in the search results so I link it here :

Currently I now have 50 subscribers on YouTube. and 5000 views.
I use Socialblade website to check my progress.
I am after YouTube subscribers, it turns out that YouTube has 2 billion users logged in but only 143,000,000 people who upload content.
75% of the 143,000,000 have <100 subscribers
If you have >100 subscribers then you are in the top 36,000,000 of the content creators. That is the top 36,000,000 of youtubers in the world.
So a latest way to gain subscribers is to use "short" tiktok style videos in 9:16 format known as YouTube shorts . How long this window will be open is hard to say so I have made 6 shorts and had some success:
Its a quick way to build subscribers as its quicker to make shorts.
Currently I am using Clipchamp for post production such as picture in picture and text which gets more YouTube promotion.
200,000 views on my channel. Channel was created when I bought a new computer in 2019 but Jan 2023 was when I started the lesson videos. I...
